“I have been a part of Steppers in Motion for two years. I enjoy it because I have always wanted to step but did not have a step team at my [high] school, and being offered that opportunity at Lynchburg, I was able to adjust to college faster and meet great people.”

Steppers in Motion

Here, you’re

home.

We learn by welcoming each other into our lives. Lynchburg is committed to being a campus community where all faculty, staff, and students feel welcome and are treated with respect.

“The connections I’ve made with my teammates and my fraternity brothers have helped me realize who I am and to not be afraid to say it. After I came out to them, their reactions brought such a sense of family to me.”

At Lynchburg, we believe there’s great value in having a more global world view. That’s one reason why Dr. Ghislaine Lewis and Dr. Lindsay Michie created an Africana Studies major.

“Students can start to apply the principles of diversity and knowledge of African heritage culture to their experiences in organizations and programs.”

Serving is

a tradition.

Students work through on-campus organizations to beautify neighborhoods, help struggling readers achieve in local schools, and eliminate food insecurity. If there’s a need, we're always willing to step up.

"I love being part of the Outdoor Leadership Program because it gives me the opportunity to constantly challenge myself, meet other people who share my passion for the outdoors, and have adventures that I wouldn’t be able to have on my own, like rafting, climbing, and caving"
