International English Language Program

This January, make incredible memories with new friends — all while exploring a future career and studying English as a Second Language!

Dates: Jan. 13 - Feb. 8, 2025

For four weeks, you’ll have fun in a college-prep winter course unlike any other.

  • Immerse yourself in American culture.
  • Improve your English language skills.
  • Find your passion — and maybe your dream job!

Our program offers the perfect combination of academics, language instruction, and cultural exploration. We integrate classroom learning with practical experiences in different settings so you can really dive into the local culture!

You’ll also visit the nation’s capital, Washington, D.C., explore our beautiful campus, and spend time in the city of Lynchburg, a vibrant college town near the Blue Ridge Mountains.

After completing all required courses and activities, you’ll receive a certificate of completion from the University of Lynchburg!

English Language Lessons

English lessons focus on skills and are based on themes. You’ll apply your English speaking, reading, and writing skills as you investigate various American subjects.

Lectures and Presentations

You’ll experience informal, discussion-style lectures by professors and professionals on various topics and meet with local community members.

Total Cost: USD $3,000

Including tuition, on-campus housing, full board (three meals/day) and insurance.

Airport Transfers

Transportation between select airports and the University of Lynchburg campus is provided at predetermined times on each winter session’s first and last day.

Welcome Package

Upon arrival, you can expect a welcome package with a campus map, an orientation folder, water, snacks, and linens to make you comfortable.

Immigration

Students with B-2 (tourist) visa status will take 15 hours of academic instruction per week. Students with an F-1 (student) visa status must take at least 18 hours of instruction per week. You may also be able to take advantage of the Electronic System for Travel Authorization, or ESTA, program.
