The DMSc offers three concentrations of study to advance your career.

  • Advanced Professional Practice: Experiences in leadership, scholarship, and professional development for PAs practicing in any clinical specialty or nonclinical health care role.
  • Emergency Management and Global Health: Prepare to initiate and manage global disaster response in varied settings with didactic and active learning opportunities. Includes some in-person course content.
  • Physician Assistant Education: Acquire the skills you need to succeed in academia, like creating active learning sessions, preparing for accreditation, and engaging students.

PAs interested in this program must have previously completed all their PA professional education, completed a master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution, and successfully passed the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) Physician Assistant National Certifying Exam (PANCE).
