Nestled in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains, the University of Lynchburg is located within a 3 to 3.5-hour drive to Washington, D.C., Charlotte, North Carolina, and Raleigh, North Carolina. Three additional airports (in Roanoke, Charlottesville, and Lynchburg) are within a 1-hour radius.

The Lynchburg train station is conveniently located near campus and offers Amtrak rail service to Washington, D.C., Baltimore, Maryland, and New York, New York, among other popular destinations.
